Prof. Peter Parker, Co-Founder of HAWK Biosystems will present an in-depth webinar on the background, importance and value of quantifying the functional states of protein biomarkers, such as protein-protein interactions, protein post-translational modifications or protein-DNA interactions, directly within fixed biological samples. Specifically, this webinar will explore how the QF-Pro® technology of HAWK Biosystems can spatially quantify these protein functional states within FFPE tissue samples, such as those from patient biopsies, fixed cell samples or fixed PBMCs.
A case study carried out by HAWK Biosystems published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology in 2023 will demonstrate how this functional biomarker approach can yield clinically significant results. In this study, QF-Pro® showcased its ability to quantify PD-1/PD-L1 complex formation in NSCLC patients in order to better stratify patients to receive anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapies, significantly outperforming the current gold-standard biomarker, PD-L1 TPS scores. This webinar will end by showing how researchers of all background can utilise and access QF-Pro®.
After this presentation, James Miles, Product Manager of HAWK Biosystems will present a short presentation on how QF-Pro® compares to other spatial biology techniques to assess functional biomarkers. This will specifically compare the abilities of these technologies to quantify post-translational modifications and protein-protein interactions in both cell and tissue samples.
